One was a heritage home in West Vancouver and I found Teresa had a great deal of insight into what would work in some challenging areas. One of the things that I appreciate is her ability to quickly assess the situation and then take action. I’ve worked with another designer that I found wasn’t as adept at understanding our taste and didn’t listen to what we were really needing and also suggested purchasing a number of other items. Teresa has a keen sense of how to use what we already have and make it look better often just by rearranging things, grouping them differently, or suggesting a change of colour. She understands our budget without making us feel that we should be spending more money in order to have a beautifully decorated home. In our other more modern home in White Rock Teresa also gave us some excellent ideas with colour schemes and furniture grouping, simple things such as a light placed on the floor to highlight a dark area of our living room made a big difference but again not costly to do. She’s not afraid to use a hammer and nails and change things at the time instead of leaving me with a large to do list, which is time consuming and running a company and maintaining a home, I don’t have the time to add this to my already full schedule.
Teresa is very knowledgeable .She has studied Feng Shui and also understands that it’s important to be flexible and work with our individual lifestyle. I also appreciated that she was able to advise us on resources to purchase items we need at reasonable cost.
